UEFA Conference League

The UEFA Europa Conference League is UEFA's newest European club competition and was held for the first time in the 2021/22 season. The aim of the competition is to enable more clubs from different nations to participate in international matches - and thus to broaden and revitalize the European soccer landscape.

Compared to the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League, the Conference League is aimed specifically at ambitious teams from smaller leagues and traditional clubs that were unable to qualify for the top two competitions at national level. Despite the “third level”, the tournament impresses with its high sporting quality, thrilling knockout matches and an emotional fan base throughout Europe.

The finals take place in different European stadiums - most recently in Tirana (2022), Prague (2023), Athens (2024) and Wroclaw (2025). The winner of the Conference League can also look forward to a coveted reward: participation in the subsequent UEFA Europa League.
